Refund Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026
Nothing is on sale at the moment. Snipkin is free during early access, with every feature unlocked, and MouseScroll and Shakelf are free. The sections below describe how licences will work once paid plans start.
14 days, no questions asked. If you bought a license and it is not what you wanted, write to me within 14 days of your purchase and you get your money back in full. You do not have to explain why.
Model withdrawal form
You do not have to use this form, an email saying you withdraw is enough, but the law says it must be available to you, so here it is:
To: Timotei Petre, [email protected]
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following digital content:
Ordered on: ____________ · Order number: ____________
Name of consumer: ____________
Address of consumer: ____________
Date: ____________
How to request one
Email [email protected] with your order number, it is in the receipt email you received after buying. That is all I need.
You can also request it directly through the order-management link in that same receipt email, which goes to FastSpring, the merchant of record for your purchase.
How long it takes
I approve refunds as soon as I see the request. FastSpring then processes the money back to your original payment method. How quickly it lands is up to your bank or card issuer, usually a few business days, sometimes up to ten.
You can try before you buy
Snipkin comes with a 14-day free trial of every feature, and full-screen capture stays free forever. No card is needed for the trial. Trying the app first is the fastest way to know whether a license is worth it, and it means refunds should rarely be necessary.
Your EU right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days. That statutory right always applies, without any condition, the single limit further down concerns only my voluntary policy beyond it. Where the law grants you more than this page does, the law applies.
About your license code after a refund
License codes are verified offline, on your own Mac. That is deliberate, it is why the apps work with no account and no internet connection. It also means that once a code has been given out, I have no technical way to switch it off remotely.
So this part runs on trust: after a refund, please stop using the license and delete the code. I would rather tell you this plainly than pretend to a control I do not have.
Things worth knowing
- Repeated refunds. Buying and refunding the same product over and over is the one case where I may decline my voluntary policy. Your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is untouched by this.
- After 14 days. Write to me anyway. If something is broken, or you were charged for something you did not mean to buy, I will do the right thing rather than point at a deadline.
- Faulty software. If an app does not work as described, your statutory rights apply regardless of any time limit on this page.
