Noah's Story, Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026 · Versiunea în română mai jos
The game itself collects nothing. It stores nothing about you, and it sends nothing anywhere. It works entirely offline, with no ads, no purchases, no accounts, and no analytics. The one exception is Google's ARCore, on Android. Its libraries are part of the app and are loaded when you launch the game, in every mode, but the AR session, the camera, and any contact with Google Play Services for AR happen only when you enter the augmented reality mode. In that mode, Google Play Services for AR collects some data for Google, as described below.
Who is responsible
Noah's Story (Android com.amec.biblestory, iOS com.amec.noahstory)
is made by Amec (Timotei Petre), an independent developer based in Romania.

this policy.
Fully offline
The game has no online features and does not use the network. On Android, the app does not even request the internet permission, so the operating system itself prevents it from ever connecting to the network. This is not a promise in our code, it is a restriction enforced by Android, and anyone can verify it in the app's permission list.
Camera, only in AR mode
If you choose the augmented reality mode, the camera image is processed exclusively on your device, by Google ARCore or Apple ARKit, to place the story in the room around you. No image is ever recorded, saved, or transmitted. The camera permission is requested only when you enter AR mode, and the game works fully without it (Normal and VR modes).
Google Play Services for AR, on Android
On Android, the ARCore libraries are part of the app and are loaded when you launch the game, in every mode. The AR session, the camera, and any contact with Google Play Services for AR, a separate app from Google, happen only when you enter the augmented reality mode. The Normal and VR modes do not start an ARCore session, and the VR mode uses Google Cardboard. On iOS, the AR mode runs on Apple ARKit, on the device.
When you enter the AR mode, Google states that ARCore automatically collects: your Google account identifiers if you are signed in to a Google account, or device identifiers if you are not; performance and diagnostic data about the app, ARCore and the device, for example battery life, loading time, latency, and framerate; and data about the ARCore API calls the app makes. Google uses this data for analytics and to keep ARCore working properly, says it does not share it with third parties, and handles it under the Google Privacy Policy. Google also states that the user data ARCore collects on devices that originally shipped with the Google Play Store is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
It is Google's service that collects this data, not the game. The game does not request the internet permission on Android, but that restriction does not apply to Google Play Services for AR, which is a separate app. Google says it collects precise location, video, and Cloud Anchor data only when an app uses Cloud Anchors or the Geospatial API. The game uses neither, so none of that is collected. Camera images are processed only on your device. Apart from ARCore, nothing in the game collects data.
Motion sensors, only in AR and VR modes
The augmented and virtual reality modes use the phone's motion sensors: AR tracking reads them to keep the story steady in the room, and the VR mode uses the gyroscope to follow your head movement. The game uses them on the device and does not store or send their data.
Local settings only
The game remembers your language and sound preferences on the device, and whether the safety notice for AR and VR has already been shown. They are removed when you uninstall the app. Apart from ARCore, described above, there are no advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or tracking components of any kind.
Children
The game is made for children. The game itself collects no data from anyone, children included, so I hold nothing of theirs to review or delete. The exception is ARCore on Android. Its libraries are part of the app and are loaded when you launch the game, in every mode, but the contact with Google Play Services for AR, which collects the data described above for Google, happens only when AR mode is entered; the Normal and VR modes do not start an ARCore session. Parents can verify the strongest part of this themselves: on Android, the app's listed permissions do not include internet access.
Changes
If a future version ever changes any of the above (for example, by adding an online feature), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be visible in the app's permission list.
Noah's Story, Politica de confidențialitate
Ultima actualizare: 5 octombrie 2026

Google Play Services for AR, pe Android
